REX ALLEN JR.

PRESS RELEASE

Thought to be one of the largest contingencies of American children to ever travel to mainland China at one time, close to 50 children, their sponsors and teachers will join Rex Allen Jr. and travel to China in April 2006 to perform at concerts across China.

“The Great American Cowboy China Concert Tour”, March 26th. - April 2, 2006 will perform at major concert venues starting in San Francisco and traveling on to the Great Wall of China, Beijing and Shanghai. At the invitation of the Peoples Republic of China Cultural Ministry, Prairie Rose Entertainment has been invited to bring the culture of the Great American Cowboy to China for the first time in Chinese history.

Rex Allen Jr. and Johnny Western of “Paladin” fame will join host band The Prairie Rose Wranglers for this historic event. “The plan for the show is to showcase both old and new Western Music and our Great American Western Heritage to our new friends in China” says Rex. “There are a lot of friendly folks in China and with the help of the children from Wichita, Kansas I hope to show the Chinese People that The Music of The West transcends all cultures.”

Rex is now completing a New CD titled “The New West”. “There are some classic Western Songs, New Western Songs and New Classic Western songs on the new CD. It will be ready to go by this fall with distribution in China to coincide with the tour there” says Rex.

“The New West” contains such classics as “Streets of Laredo” and “Along The Navajo Trail” to new classics like “Ride Cowboy Ride” and “Desperado”. The CD was recorded in Wichita, Kansas at Prairie Rose Recording with Jim Farrell co-producing and engineering. Rex adds “I am very proud of this project. I feel in my heart that my Dad, Roy Rogers and Bob Nolan were standing there in the studio with me leading the way to “The New West”.

Starz Western Channel, CNN and an independent production company are filming the concert series for distribution in the United States and around the world. And the Peoples Republic of China is already talking about an extended tour of 30 or more dates in 2007.
