A message from Rex

May 28, 2002

Hi All,

Seems like this year is getting busy. Every time that I think I'm going to have some time off something comes up!

I'm glad that some of you were at the LCO Casino. What a night! The power went off about the third song and I ended up doing the show with just me and a guitar for about 1000 people. My voice was tired the next day! Thanks to the fans that went to their cars and got flash lights so people could see me!

Last weekend I was all over the
Westerns Channel. It was John Wayne's 95th birthday. Hopefully there will be more of me on the channel. Deanna and I are talking to them about some new projects. Will let you know.

Hello to Jackie Burns. Boy that goes back to the old days. JMI Records was my third label. I only had one single released there. That was back in the days when we were all working on what became the Don Williams sound.

Now for the "Ride, Cowboy Ride" long (8 min) version! Thanks to Bruce Thom in Fargo, ND I have a CD of it finally. I'd be willing to burn copies as needed. Let's say $10.00 per copy. Just order through the web site.

Last weekend we were in Cedar, Kansas. I finally found it! Johnny Western was there along with about 25 other artists. Lots of people and great times for all. I ended up doing another solo show. It rained on Friday night and owell and Nan moved the show 20 miles away. Still had 250 people.

I'm off to Illinois this weekend for the Roy Clark Golf Tour. Maybe I'll win a car! Don't think so.

Stay cool. See you all down the HWY.

Rex
